Overview
The Miami Dade College Alumni Hall of Fame is one of the College’s most prestigious annual traditions. Each year, MDC proudly honors distinguished alumni from diverse fields who have made outstanding contributions to their professions and communities. This signature event celebrates the accomplishments of these exceptional individuals — civic and business leaders who shape our community — while raising vital funds for student scholarships that support the next generation of Miami's leaders.
Since its inception in 2003, the Hall of Fame has inducted more than 400 extraordinary alumni. Past inductees include actor Andy Garcia, Univision Host Lili Estefan, music industry legend Emilio Estefan, Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Nilo Cruz, journalists Belkys Nerey and Eliott Rodriguez, U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Panama Kevin Marino Cabrera, Miami-Dade Schools Superintendent Jose Dotres, former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Nat Moore, among many others.
