Memorial Scholarship

An energetic, outstanding expert who brought magic to the classroom and ongoing commitment to her profession, Leslee Vichengrad excelled in the educational community and embodied the finest of educators. Her teaching in New York, Norway, North Carolina, and primarily Miami-Dade County, demonstrated her belief in the ability of her students to achieve and succeed. She was a National Board Certified Teacher, a district finalist for 2007 Teacher of Year representing 18,000 teachers, and a proud mentor to her colleagues. She graduated with an associate degree in elementary education from Miami Dade College.
