In Honor of Pete Antonacci

Overview

Thank you for paying tribute to the life of Peter V. Antonacci, a talented lawyer and proud MDC alumnus with an impressive public service career that spanned more than three decades in the State of Florida. Your gifts will set first generation students up for success and will fuel future leaders through the power of education.

Peter was raised in Hialeah, Florida and attended Hialeah High School and Miami Dade College. He then continued to Florida State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts and Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning as well as a Juris Doctorate from FSU College of Law. Peter began his long career in public service as a trial prosecutor in the Second Judicial Court. He also served as General Counsel to Governor Scott from 2013 to 2015, and in 2012 served as State Attorney in Palm Beach County. He was the President & CEO of Enterprise Florida, Inc., served as Florida’s Secretary of Commerce, a governing board member of the Northwest Florida Water Management District, a member of the Florida Ethics Commission, Statewide Prosecutor of Florida, Deputy Attorney General, and numerous other voluntary professional and public service posts.

In 2018, Peter was inducted into the MDC Alumni Hall of Fame for his outstanding work in public service. Across a lengthy career in law and public service, Peter never forgot where he got his start when he proudly stated, “MDC helped to shape my career. It was a valuable path to success for me, and it is a path that many others need today.”
