The Henrietta Dalke Endowed Scholarship Fund is a tribute to the indelible impact of Henrietta Winkler Nemitoff Dalke, a pioneering figure in nursing education whose life's work has left a lasting legacy at Miami Dade College's Medical Campus. Henrietta's story is one of resilience, dedication, and the transformative power of education.

Our Inspiration

Henrietta, affectionately known as Henri, embarked on her nursing career after returning to school as a mother of four, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to her family and her profession. Following the loss of her first husband, William (Bill) Nemitoff, she furthered her education, earning both a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Nursing Education degree. Her marriage to David Dalke brought her to Miami, Florida, where she would continue to break new ground in nursing education, notably creating and chairing the Transitional Nursing Program at Miami Dade College.

In honor of Henri Dalke's contributions and in recognition of her pioneering role in nursing education, the Henrietta Dalke Endowed Scholarship Fund supports nursing students at MDC's Medical Campus.
