Memorial Scholarship

The Betty Jo Foley RN Nursing Endowed Scholarship Fund benefits Miami Dade College students who are pursuing a degree in nursing. After struggling with mental health and recognizing the role psychiatric nurses played in her recovery, Betty Jo Foley dedicated her life to helping others through their difficulties. She was an RN/Psychiatric nurse for over 30 years in California, Texas and Florida, and continued to help others long after she retired. Those who met her loved her and frequently called her their second mom. In honor of her contributions she made through nursing, this scholarship aims to help like-minded souls dedicated to helping others.
