Memorial Scholarship

The Barbara B. Jordan Legacy, Inc. Scholarship at Miami Dade College was established by the daughters of Barbara B. Jordan to honor her life and legacy. Ms. Jordan was a leader in the funeral services industry for over 40 years and served as the President of The Florida Morticians Association from 1987-1989. The Scholarship Fund memorializes her passion for helping others. Contributions made to the Barbara B. Jordan Legacy; Inc. Scholarship support African American female students pursuing a degree in the Funeral Services Education Program at MDC. Recipients of the scholarship will share Ms. Jordan’s work ethic and resilience while demonstrating a commitment to working with historically underserved or underprivileged populations.
