Authors make Miami Book Fair an extraordinary celebration of creativity and ideas. They spark conversations and reflection. And their diverse voices and stories make Miami shine on the world’s literary stage. Since 1984, more than 12,000 authors—from Nobel and Pulitzer Prize winners to emerging voices—have shared their stories here. 

However, as all of our costs including travel, lodging and more have risen, it has become more and more difficult for the Book Fair to host the writers you enjoy each year. That’s why we created The Authors Fund—to ensure that in spite of rising costs, great writers from everywhere can continue coming to Miami, sharing their work, and inspiring readers of all ages.

Your support will  help  keep Miami at the heart of the literary world in the following ways:

$50 – A Family of 4 will enjoy an Author's story at the Fair
$150 – Helps bring an Author to a local classroom
$250 – Helps support an Author's program in Children’s Alley
$500 – Places 60 books in children’s hands
$1,000 – Helps bring an out-of-town Author to the Fair
$5,000 – Helps fund a powerful author panel at MBF
